Hochbildpanoramen und Aufnahmen von Hochstativen liegen zur Zeit ja irgendwie in der Luft. Da fertige Kauflösungen mächtig teuer sind und der Bastler in mir was zu tun haben will, gehts in die Werkstatt.
Pictures and panoramas taken from very high poles are quite trendy at the moment. Solutions ready to use are quite expensive, I always like a bit of crafting, so let´s get some stuff and carry it to the workshop.

Die elektrische Bucht machts möglich – ein Antennenmast aus gutem Hause, gerade noch kofferraumtauglich und mit echtem Bodybuilding-Potential.
Found on ebay – a radio antenna mast, just ok for the car boot. But heavy stuff.

Gaining substantially more height than the 6 meters of the Spieth pole requires some extra material. Did you ever worry your tiny Manfrotto 055 would be bulky and heavy?

Dafuer gehts auf gut 13 Meter Hoehe.
The antenna mast reaches a height of app. 13 meters.

Die Rohrschellen klemmen die geschlitzten Rohrenden gegen das naechstkleinere Rohrsegment.

Zwei Drehteile zur Aufnahme der Kamera an der Mastspitze vervollstaendigen den Aufbau.

Panoramen vom Hochstativ enthalten meist viel Himmel, daher bietet sich die Darstellung als “kleine Welt” – “little planet” an.
Panoramas from a very high pole show a lot of sky.  So they are nice to convert into a little planet.
